En s\u0131k uygulanan uyku e\u011fitimi y\u00f6ntemi istenmeyen davran\u0131\u015f\u0131n (a\u011flama, uyumay\u0131 reddetme) g\u00f6rmezden gelinmesi ve \u00f6d\u00fcl\u00fcn (ebeveyn ilgisi) ortadan kald\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 temeline dayan\u0131r. Bu y\u00f6ntem de bebe\u011fin \u00f6ncelikle uyku zaman\u0131ndan ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z olarak (emme, sallama, biberon kullan\u0131m\u0131 olmadan) kendili\u011finden uykuya dalmas\u0131 ama\u00e7lan\u0131r. Bu beceri ilk uykuya dalma s\u0131ras\u0131nda kazan\u0131ld\u0131ktan sonra gece uyanmalar\u0131 s\u0131ras\u0131nda da kendili\u011finden tekrar uykuya dalma becerisinin geli\u015fmesi hedeflenir. <strong>Bebek yata\u011fa uyan\u0131k ancak sersemlemi\u015f olarak konulur, \u00e7ocu\u011fun ya\u015f\u0131, mizac\u0131 ya da ebeveynin dayanabilme g\u00fcc\u00fcne g\u00f6re daha \u00f6nceden planlanm\u0131\u015f sabit (\u00f6rne\u011fin 5 dakikada bir) ya da giderek artan s\u00fcrelerde (\u00f6nce 2 dk, sonra 5 dk ve daha sonra 10 dk \u015feklinde) bebek kontrol edilir.<\/strong> Bu kontroller s\u0131ras\u0131nda \u00e7ocu\u011fun ilgi \u00e7ekme davran\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131n peki\u015ftirilmemesi amac\u0131 ile ebeveyn ilgisinin k\u0131sa (15 \u2013 60 saniye) olmas\u0131 hedeflenir, ancak ba\u011flanman\u0131n \u00f6nemli oldu\u011fu bu d\u00f6nemde bebe\u011fin ipu\u00e7lar\u0131na duyarl\u0131 olmak amac\u0131 ile bebe\u011fe sevildi\u011fi hissettirilmeli ve iyi geceler mesaj\u0131 verilmelidir.<\/p>\n<p>Uyku e\u011fitimi s\u0131ras\u0131nda \u00e7ocu\u011fun uyumama davran\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131 peki\u015ftirecek \u0131\u015f\u0131klar\u0131 a\u00e7ma, oyun oynama gibi davran\u0131\u015flar yap\u0131lmamal\u0131d\u0131r. Uyku e\u011fitimi s\u0131ras\u0131nda ebeveynler, a\u011flamalar\u0131n ilk birka\u00e7 g\u00fcnde artaca\u011f\u0131, daha da k\u00f6t\u00fcle\u015fece\u011fi, \u00e7ocu\u011fun s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131 zorlayaca\u011f\u0131 konusunda uyar\u0131lmal\u0131d\u0131r. \u00c7ocu\u011fun e\u011fitim s\u0131ras\u0131nda, a\u011flama s\u00fcresi uzay\u0131nca yata\u011fa al\u0131nmas\u0131 \u00e7ocu\u011fun yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 davran\u0131\u015flar\u0131n dozunu artt\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131nda (a\u011flaman\u0131n \u015fiddetini artt\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131nda) istedi\u011fini elde edece\u011fi mesaj\u0131n\u0131 verir. Bu nedenle <strong>uyku e\u011fitimi<\/strong> aile i\u00e7in zaman\u0131n \u00f6nemli oldu\u011fu bir d\u00f6nemde ba\u015flanmamal\u0131, hem anne hem de baba i\u00e7in en uygun zaman se\u00e7ilmelidir. Gece uyumay\u0131 protesto eden \u00e7ocu\u011fun g\u00fcnd\u00fcz uyku s\u00fcresinin artt\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 \u00f6nerilmemektedir. Uyku e\u011fitiminin geli\u015fimsel olarak be\u015fi\u011finden d\u0131\u015far\u0131 t\u0131rmanamayan bebekte ba\u015flat\u0131lmas\u0131 e\u011fitimin ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 artt\u0131racakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Ayn\u0131 y\u00f6ntemin farkl\u0131 bir uygulamas\u0131 da ebeveynin yava\u015f yava\u015f odadan \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131 y\u00f6ntemdir. Ebeveyn \u00f6nce yataktan uzakla\u015fmaya ba\u015flar, daha sonra odadan \u00e7\u0131kmaya ba\u015flar.
