G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde de geli\u015fen teknoloji, t\u0131p ve bilim sayesinde yap\u0131lan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar, zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131n\u0131n bir\u00e7ok biyoaktiviteye sahip oldu\u011funu g\u00f6stermi\u015ftir. Zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131n\u0131n hastal\u0131k tedavisinde de kullan\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayan en \u00f6nemli biyolojik aktiviteye sahip molek\u00fcl oleuropeindir.<\/p>\n<p>Oleupein ilk kez 1908 y\u0131l\u0131nda tespit edilmesine ra\u011fmen yap\u0131s\u0131 1960 y\u0131l\u0131nda tan\u0131mlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Oleuropein zeytinin a\u011fa\u00e7, yaprak, tomurcuk, odun ve a\u011fa\u00e7 kabu\u011funda bulunmaktad\u0131r. Zeytin meyvesinin erken d\u00f6nemlerinde fazla bulunurken olgunla\u015fma ile birlikte metabolize olup miktar\u0131 azalan bu madde ayn\u0131 zamanda meyvede ac\u0131l\u0131k tad\u0131n\u0131 da veren maddedir.<\/p>\n<p>\u0130\u015flenmemi\u015f zeytinde ve yaprakta oleuropein fazla oldu\u011fundan ac\u0131l\u0131k da fazlad\u0131r. \u0130\u015flenen zeytinde ve zeytinya\u011f\u0131nda oleuropeinin metabolize \u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc olan hidroksitirozol daha fazla bulundu\u011fundan ac\u0131l\u0131k da azalmaktad\u0131r. Ayr\u0131ca oleuropein bitkiyi zararl\u0131 mikroorganizmalardan ve hastal\u0131klardan koruyarak a\u011fac\u0131n uzun \u00f6m\u00fcrl\u00fc ve dayan\u0131kl\u0131 olmas\u0131na katk\u0131 sa\u011flar.<\/p>\n<p>Oleuropein direkt olarak insan v\u00fccudunda kullan\u0131lamaz. Sindirim sisteminde sindirildikten sonra emilebilmektedir. Tamamen hidrositorosel ve alt birimlerine ayr\u0131l\u0131r ve insan plazmas\u0131nda ve d\u0131\u015fk\u0131s\u0131nda bulunmaz.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131 ve oleuropein ile ilgili yap\u0131lan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalardan da bahsederek etkinlik alan\u0131yla ilgili bilgiler vermek istiyorum:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131n\u0131n kan \u015fekerini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fc etkisi ve diyabetli bireylerde etkili olabilece\u011fiyle ilgili pek \u00e7ok \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma bulunmaktad\u0131r. Bu kan d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fc etkiyi; ins\u00fclin sal\u0131n\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 etkileleyerek ve periferik glukoz al\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 artt\u0131rarak yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir. Ancak tam etki mekanizmas\u0131 ve ideal doz konusunda yeterli bilgi bulunmamaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>2012 y\u0131l\u0131nda yap\u0131lan bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada tip2 diyabetli 79 hastaya 14 hafta boyunca zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131 uygulanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. HbA1c ve a\u00e7l\u0131k ins\u00fclin de\u011ferlerini \u00f6nemli \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde azaltt\u0131\u011f\u0131 tespit edilmi\u015ftir.<br \/>\n2006 y\u0131l\u0131nda yap\u0131lan ba\u015fka bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada diyabet olu\u015fturulmu\u015f tav\u015fanlara 16 hafta boyunca g\u00fcnl\u00fck 20 mg\/kg oleuropein verilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>Kan glukoz seviyelerini d\u00fczenledi\u011fi ve ayn\u0131 zamanda diyabetin olu\u015fturdu\u011fu oksidatif strese ba\u011fl\u0131 hasar\u0131 da azaltt\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p>4 hafta boyunca diyabetik ratlara zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131 ekstresinin oral olarak verildi\u011fi bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada serum glukoz ve kolesterol seviyelerinde \u00f6nemli bir d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f g\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.<br \/>\n2010 y\u0131l\u0131nda y\u00fcksek kalorili beslenen ratlarda yap\u0131lan bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131ndaki bile\u015fiklerin hepatik de\u011ferleri iyile\u015ftirdi\u011fi, oksidatif stres ve inflamasyonu da azaltt\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6zlemlenmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>\u0130nsanlarda pirin\u00e7 y\u00fcklemesine glisemik yan\u0131t\u0131n incelendi\u011fi bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131 ekstresinin kontrol grubuna g\u00f6re kan glukoz d\u00fczeyini \u00f6nemli \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde azaltt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve oleuropeinin h\u00fccrelere glukoz al\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 h\u0131zland\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131 belirtilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>Oleuropeinin antikanser etki g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi \u00e7e\u015fitli \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarla ortaya konulmu\u015ftur. Yap\u0131lan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131nda bulunan antioksidanlar\u0131n karaci\u011fer, meme, prostat gibi kanserlerin tedavisinde etkili olabilece\u011fini g\u00f6stermi\u015ftir. Literat\u00fcrde oleuropein ekstrelerinin insan meme adenokarsinoma h\u00fccresi (MCF-7) ve insan mesane kanseri h\u00fccresi(T-24) \u00e7o\u011falmas\u0131n\u0131 engellemede etkili olabilece\u011fi yer almaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131yla ilgili baz\u0131 raporlarda kan bas\u0131nc\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcrebildi\u011fi, koroner arterlerde kan ak\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131 art\u0131rabildi\u011fi, aritmiyi azaltt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve ba\u011f\u0131rsak kas spazmlar\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6nleyebildi\u011fi yer almakt\u0131r. Kan p\u0131ht\u0131la\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 ve kan dola\u015f\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 da d\u00fczenleyerek kalp rahats\u0131zl\u0131klar\u0131 ve myokard infarkt\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc \u00f6nleyici etkisi oldu\u011fu yer almaktad\u0131r. Ayr\u0131ca LDL oksidasyonunu engelleyerek kalp damar hastal\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nlenmesinde ve kan bas\u0131nc\u0131n\u0131n d\u00fczenlenmesinde etkili oldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7al\u0131\u015fmalarda zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131nda bulunan oleuropeinin diyabetli bireylerde s\u0131k\u00e7a g\u00f6r\u00fclen kalp yetmezli\u011fi, damar t\u0131kan\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi komplikasyonlar\u0131 \u00f6nledi\u011fi; ayr\u0131ca zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131nda bulunan fenolik bile\u015fiklerin damar i\u00e7i plak olu\u015fumunu engelledi\u011fi ve bireylerde kan glukoz seviyesinde anlaml\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f sa\u011flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6sterilmi\u015ftir. Ancak etki mekanizmalar\u0131na dair yeterince bilgi mevcut de\u011fildir.<\/p>\n<p>Zeytin yapraklar\u0131ndan haz\u0131rlanan \u00e7ay\u0131n DPPH ve hidrojen peroksit radikallerine kar\u015f\u0131 antioksidan etki g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi bildirilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>Zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131n\u0131n g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc antioksidan etkiye sahip oldu\u011fu hayvan deneyleriyle de g\u00f6sterilmi\u015ftir. Zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131 v\u00fccudu aktif serbest radikallerden korumaya yard\u0131m eden antioksidan \u00f6zellikler bar\u0131nd\u0131r\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>2006 y\u0131l\u0131nda yap\u0131lan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada oleuropeinin fagositozu artt\u0131rarak ba\u011f\u0131\u015f\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131 destekledi\u011fi sonucuna ula\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. 2018 y\u0131l\u0131nda yap\u0131lan ba\u015fka bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada oleuropeinin, toplam lenfosit say\u0131s\u0131nda art\u0131\u015f sa\u011flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve insan periferal ba\u011f\u0131\u015f\u0131kl\u0131k yan\u0131t\u0131n d\u00fczenlenmesinde etkili oldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p>Yap\u0131lan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar zeytin yapra\u011f\u0131n\u0131n lipid profili \u00fczerindeki olumlu etkilerini ve antihipertansif potansiyelini de desteklemektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Alzheimer hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6nlemeye yard\u0131mc\u0131 oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir. Ayr\u0131ca n\u00f6roprotektif etki g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Oleuropein do\u011fal antimikrobiyal \u00f6zellik g\u00f6stermektedir. Mikroorganizmalar\u0131n geli\u015fme h\u0131z\u0131n\u0131 geciktirdi\u011fi ve inhibe etti\u011fini g\u00f6steren \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar vard\u0131r.
